If you already have the basic skills in Inventor, this is a great place to land in order to practice your skills with a fun, 3D modeling project, making this stylish beverage caddy. I’ll start by showing you how to build the five basic components of the caddy by using a variety of Inventor commands, including Extrude, Revolve, Sweep, Pattern, Loft, Shell, and Mirror.
I’ll show you how to assemble the five components in an assembly file, allowing you to see how the caddy parts interrelate. Next, we’ll see how to create a presentation-quality animation and a still image of the caddy design. Finally, we’ll take a look at how to document your caddy design by creating 2D working drawings using Inventor documentation tools. Without further delay, let’s jump in and get started with designing products in Autodesk Inventor.
