#FREE Maya 2015 Essential Training #3D + Animation #Maya

Need to get a strong foundation in Maya? Start here. This Essential Training course covers all the latest features in Maya 2015, while giving you a background in the basics of 3D modeling, texturing, animating, and rendering. Need a quick overview? Check out the first chapter of the course, which covers the interface and basic object manipulation tools. Author George Maestri then takes you deeper into polygonal modeling, editing and refining meshes, and NURBS modeling?for sculpting curves and organic surfaces in Maya. After that, learn how to create and apply materials to give the surface of your models color, texture, reflectivity, and more. Next, create realistic images (with lighting and depth-of-field effects) in the final rendering process, and finally, add movement and life to your characters with Maya’s animation tools.

Instructor’s Welcome Note:

Hi, I’m George Maestri, and welcome to Maya 2015 Essential training. In this course, we are going to start off by looking at the Maya interface and getting used to moving objects around. Next, we are going to move on to modeling. We are going to start off with Polygonal modeling, and show you how to take simple objects and turn them into complex organic shapes. After that we’re going to take a look at NURBS and create additional models, then we’re going to learn how to create basic materials and apply texture maps to your objects.
We’re going to learn how to create lights and cameras in Maya, as well as render special effects such as depth of field and motion blur. We’re also going to show you how to match your cameras to existing photographs. And finally, we’re going to learn a little bit about how to move objects across the screen along a path as well as how to create things such as animation cycles as well as adding sound. Now, let’s get started with Maya 2015 Essential Training.
