#FREE Learn to Texture for 3D #3D + Animation #3ds Max

Sometimes you need practical examples to make the theoretical concrete. In these case studies, Adam Crespi shows how to create four distinct (and highly realistic) textures?concrete blocks, bamboo flooring, a woven rug, and a wood veneer?and link them to materials in Maya. These texturing tutorials will allow you to follow his exact steps, and apply variations to build your own interesting effects.

Instructor’s Welcome Note:

– Hi, I’m Adam Crespi, and welcome to Exploring Case Studies of Texture Creation and Variation. In this course, we’ll look at variations of typical textures, using the same brick-making pattern to make concrete block, taking a normal wood texture and altering it to make a highly-figured wood veneer. We’ll see how to create a woven rug with an original design and add weaving and grain like we’d expect to see in a rug texture. We’ll see how to create bamboo flooring, adding in the ringing we expect to see in bamboo.
We’ll be covering all these features plus plenty of other tools and techniques. Now let’s get started with Exploring Case Studies of Texture Creation and Variation.
