#FREE Animating Charts and Graphs in CINEMA 4D #3D + Animation #CINEMA 4D

Charts and graphs have always been essential visual aids. With CINEMA 4D, you have all the tools you need to produce compelling animated versions of these static presentation tools. C4D’s powerful primitive objects, spline tools, and node-based expression editor, XPresso, make it relatively easy to create dynamic animated charts and graphs.
This course is a project-based learning experience that will introduce different tools and techniques for importing, styling, and manipulating chart data in C4D. Alan Demafiles shows how to drive relationships between spreadsheet data and geometry with set-driven XPresso keys, connect points with tracer objects, and animate charts with dynamic primitive objects. He also explains how to customize the look and behavior of your charts and graphs to fit the style of your company or your client’s.

LEVEL Intermediate

COURSE TOPICS:

Using XPresso to link data
Importing spreadsheet data into CINEMA 4D
Harnessing mograph effectors
Connecting dots with tracer objects
Adding text and x- and y-axes
Creating pie charts and bar charts with CINEMA 4D

Instructor’s Welcome Note:

(xylophone music) – Hello and welcome to Animating Charts and Graphs in CINEMA 4D. Charts and graphs have always been an essential visual aid to help convey data and information. CINEMA 4D has all the tools needed to produce compelling animated versions of data representation. In this course we’ll look at various ways to import data, how to stylize that data, and what the different tools in CINEMA 4D can allow for it’s manipulation. I’ll start by showing you how to create controls to drive relationships between spreadsheet data and various geometry by using set driven keys in Expresso.
Then, I’ll show you how to use the mograph tracer object to connect points with a line. We’ll see how to create animation on a pie chart using imported files from Illustrator, along with dynamic primitive objects. During this course we’ll see how to utilize several of CINEMA 4D’s powerful tools to create engaging versions of static charts and graphs. By using the techniques in this course, users will be able to animate the visual elements representing data in 3D space in an engaging and compelling way. Now, let’s get started with Animating Charts and Graphs in CINEMA 4D.
