#FREE GarageBand Essential Training #Audio + Music #GarageBand

GarageBand is the most accessible, affordable, and easy-to-learn multitrack recording application available. Learn how to start creating your own music with GarageBand here in this course. Garrick Chow shows how to create a new project, add loops (prerecorded sounds and drum beats) to quickly build a song, create your own custom loops, and use Drummer to create custom beats. He describes how to connect a MIDI keyboard controller and record with software instruments. Then he shows how to edit tracks, create a click track, and even print musical notation of your MIDI tracks. Next, he demonstrates how to record audio tracks into GarageBand, focusing on recording guitars and using multiple takes to create a comp track. Garrick then explains how to arrange, edit, and mix your projects using the arrangement track and the built-in effects. Next, he shows how to export your project, share it with the world, save it to iCloud, and archive it. Finally, Garrick shows how to use your iPad with GarageBand and how to open projects created in GarageBand for iOS, the mobile version of the app.

Instructor’s Welcome Note:

Hello, I’m Garrick Chow, and welcome to GarageBand for Mac Essential Training. I’ll start by taking you on a tour of the GarageBand interface to get our bearings, and I’ll show you how to set up a project file so you can start working right away. We’ll look at the new amazing drummer feature, which puts a virtual drummer at your command, and gives you the ability to craft complex and realistic sounding drum and percussion parts to accompany your songs. I’ll show you how to work with GarageBand’s built-in softer instruments to perform, record, and edit virtual instrument parts ranging from keyboards.
To drums, to strings and horns, and more. Then we’ll see how to record real instruments with a microphone or through GarageBand’s collection of guitar amps. And we’ll look at the new amp designer to see how to craft a wide range of guitar and bass guitar tones with a combination of virtual amps, cabinets, microphones, and pedals. Once we’ve put everything together, we’ll take a look at how to organize, edit, and mix your project. And then we’ll take a look at the options that are available to export and share your music with the world.
We’ll be covering all this and plenty more. So, let’s get started with GarageBand for Mac Essential Training.
