#FREE Designing a Tiny House with SketchUp #CAD #SketchUp

Whether you are a tiny home aficionado or just want to improve your SketchUp modeling skills, this course will help you build an entire home on wheels?with many clever space-saving features and a scope to keep you interested and challenged.
In this course, author Scott Onstott shows step-by-step how to build a tiny house, including every virtual stud, sheet of plywood, and appliance going into the project. Along the way, he explores SketchUp features such as components, groups, layers, and textures. By building a house in SketchUp in this detailed manner, you can work out any unforeseen spatial conflicts in the design and virtually eliminate construction problems before you are in the field.

Instructor’s Welcome Note:

– Hi; I’m Scott Onstott, and welcome to Designing a Tiny House with SketchUp. In this course, we will import a 2D floor plan and use it as a template to build the 3D model of the tiny house. Unlike many other architectural models that you might make in SketchUp, we are going to build every stud, every rafter, every piece of insulation, and so on, so that we can be sure that everything will fit in the limited space. This added complexity gives us many opportunities to learn a wide variety of modeling techniques. We will be using components for repetitive elements, like studs; groups for unique objects; layers to control the visibility of related systems; bitmaps for realistic textures; and much more.
I’m a big fan of tiny houses, and I’m excited to show you all the space-saving features in this design. So, let’s get started.
